so what do you look for in inspiration ???

Hmmm, good question.

For personal work, I usually draw things that interest me like things from different cultures, animals, people that I love or images by other artists. I can be very self indulgent that way, but I do feel that I need that motivation to stay productive: If I always draw things that I have no interest in, I don't draw as much.
I like doing commissions because they force me to do something different though :)

Ahh I see, so has there been a certain project that, at first didn't seem appealing to you but caught your attention ??

Sure! I used to think old school tattoo designs were really tacky, ugly, out of fashion (and never coming back) and lacking in artistic merit. I certainly thought that way the first time I walked into a tattoo parlour (aged fifteen). I'm not sure when my opinion changed, I'd guess three or four years ago, but now I really love the style and enjoy drawing them a lot. I try to draw at least one a day.
