Just a little practise and experimentation, nothing serious.
This is my first peony, I went with a traditional style but coloured it in with some new brushes and stuff, so it doesn't really look like a tattoo... but if you isolate the outline it does
I like what you've done here with it. It's a good piece of experimenting. The end of the petals almost look like cotton or wool just because of the soft texture. It's very delicate looking just because of it. The lines are very like your tattoo designs, very stylized. It's the way you've painted over the lines in some areas that give it some fairly good depth even if it is relatively flat due to the lined quality. I'm a big fan of lines myself. But taking in the whole thing, it reminds me of the surf against the shore. The petals end in some sort of soft froth as they splash against your relatively neutral background. Nothing wrong with a little pink sea, right?
