A malicious kitsune, often known as nogitsune or yako. These foxes from Japanese folklore are associated with many interesting myths involving shapeshifting, posession and generally being cunning little buggers.

Inspired by traditional irezumi and ukiyo-e.

Not everyone is what they seem to be: Smiling faces often conceal rows of big, nasty, pointy teeth.

It's hard to find decent references of kitsune drawn in a traditional style... I won't say why or I'll end up on a very unpleasant rant about misuse of the term "kitsune".
