Aren't geisha fascinating?

The word "carthamin" in the title comes from the English name of the pigment extracted from safflower which is used to make that beautiful, traditional red makeup. "Beni" is the Japanese word for its colour.

I'm kinda not digging the contrast between the sketch-looking hair and the super detailed eyelashes. But aside from that, this piece is just absolutely gorgeous. Especially the lips - I love them a whole lot.
